Guam Girl Scouts will be distributing cookies to all our troops on Saturday, January 13, 2018 from 7:30 am – 2:30 pm behind Cost-U-Less in Tamuning. You will be assisting troops as they stack, count, and load cases of cookies. Get ready for a day filled with sun, fun and cookies!

Please provide the information by Thursday, January 11, 2018. You can call our center at 646-5652 on Tuesdays – Fridays from 9 – 5 or Saturdays 9 – 1 or email us at [email protected]. (Please note: we will be closed during the last two weeks of December, but please leave a message on our answering machine!)
On the day of the activity, please wear closed toed shoes, bring a hat, sunscreen and a refillable water bottle.
Please arrive promptly at the Chuck E Cheese parking lot at assigned time (Morning Shift 7:30; Afternoon Shift: 10:30). When you arrive, you will sign in at the check in table at the back entrance to Cost U Less. At check in, you will be assigned a tent. You will enter the Cost-U-Less grounds and proceed to assigned tent. Each tent has a tent leader.
- The tent leader will instruct you to assemble X amount of cases from containers back to the tent.
- You will stack the cases on a pallet in the appropriate way for the tent leader to confirm the amount.
- Then you will assist with loading the approved cases into vehicles.
These steps are repeated throughout the activity. After your shift has ended, please sign out at the check in table.
We would like students to think about the importance of health and wellness (as this activity is physical) and the importance of volunteering. As our board president once said: Those who can, do. Those who can do more, volunteer!
In order to earn service learning hours, a reflection needs to be turned into a teacher who can input the hours into Power School. You need to address: What did you do? What did you learn? How was this an example of public service?
Our objective is to provide students with an activity to promote an active lifestyle while giving them the opportunity to observe and analyze procedures of a retail organization.
