Ideal for individuals or small groups of students. Support this project of Island Girl Power/ The Ayuda Foundation. REACH OUT AND READ seeks to work with highly motivated volunteer readers in the community and schedule them to read to children that are generally underserved at our various Public Health Centers across the island. Whether it is at the Dededo, Mangilao or Agat Center we will work with you to schedule 3 reading sessions at your convenience. This project aims to help the community learn more about literacy issues that face our island and what we can do to help address that issue.

Keep in mind we have an orientation that you must participate in before you take this project into the community.

In addition, we recommend collecting 10 children’s books to hand out after each reading session. (total 30 books) For scheduling please call 688-4752, or email [email protected]. We encourage you to take pictures of your experience and post on your Facebook, instagram, or other social network site. This helps build support for our project.
