If you are a supporter of Hal's Angels Football, then you have an opportunity for service learning. The football field needs constant maintenance! 

This is an example of public service, helping out your community so that we can continue to offer positive sporting activities for our youth. Not only does it allow the teams to continue to play in a safe environment, you also can use this as an opportunity for physical fitness.  

Preparation Instruction:
Contact Mr. Ivan Shiroma and coordinate when you plan to come to do this project.
Be specific in regards to what you can do and how long you plan to assist. 

Activity Instruction:

Be on time so that the gate can be opened for you, make sure to inform them when you are leaving so the gate can be secured.

Bring the equipment you need to do the task you agreed to do.

You must come with your parent or guardian, who will be responsible for supervising your work. 

You must ask Mr. Ivan Shiroma or your coach to write you a letter or give you a certificate verifying that you did satisfactorily do this project and how many hours you worked. 

Reflection Instruction:

In order to earn service learning hours, a reflection needs to be turned into a teacher who can input the hours into Power School. You need to address: How did I demonstrate personal character traits such as trustworthiness and honesty, courtesy and respect for the rights of others, responsibility, accountability, and self-reliance. What service did I perform? Why is this important? How did you feel about helping out this team and this family? 

Learning Standards/Objectives:

Build Support for a local tradition. Assist the family by helping with grounds maintenance and upkeep. Promote your project on social media. 

Teach our youth to give their support in various ways.
