Tamuning Beautification

  1. We will be meeting at Alupang Beach Park. We will be doing a beautification at the Life Below Water mural (Apotguan Park). We will have the student volunteers pick up trash around the area. As well, as helping the Guam Green Growth Conservation Corp bag up green waste. We ask that you wear comfortable clothing, and bring a refillable bottle, bug spray, closed-toe shoes, and sun protection. We be meeting at 8 am and finishing at 12pm.

Preparation Instruction:
  1. To prepare for the Tamuning Beautification research the Alupang Beach Park and the Life Below Water mural (Apotguan Park). 
  2. Make sure to get good rest and be hydrated the day before. Make sure you have the proper shoes, refillable bottle, and sun protection (sunblock, hat, sunglasses). Eat a good breakfast!

Activity Instruction:
We will be picking up trash around Apotguan Park. As well, as sorting the trash from recyclables and landfill
Sort debris, take pictures of your service time

  1. Why do you think other students would want to participate in this activity?
  2. How did this project to beautify Guam make you feel?
  3. How could the project be improved?
